Accounts receivable

Accounts receivable are listed in a company’s balance sheet as current assets. They represent amounts scheduled to be received within a year. Accounts receivable represent assets incurred on the back of supplying goods on credit. The purchaser will record the transaction as accounts payable in current liabilities.
