Asset

Assets are items owned or controlled by the company, and from which future economic benefits are expected. A company classifies assets on the balance sheet into current assets (such as cash, short-term investments and accounts receivable) and non-current assets (such as plant, property, equipment, intangibles). Assets are financed by liabilities and capital raised from equity investors.
