Bank of England Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS) 2012

The Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS) was launched by the Bank of England in July 2012. It was designed to encourage banks and building societies to expand their lending to households and private non-financial corporates, by providing funds on a collateralised basis at cheaper rates than those prevailing in the then current markets for a four‑year term.
