Benchmark

Financial market participants use a wide range of benchmarks to assess relative performance. Equity and credit indices are the most common performance benchmarks. In bond markets, a benchmark bond is one issued in benchmark size i.e. is seen as an issue size of USD500m or more. Some markets have additional requirements.
