Biodiversity Loss

Biodiversity Loss

Biodiversity loss is a decrease in biodiversity that occurs within an ecosystem, species, or both. It can take place in a specific geographic location/territory or more broadly across Earth. Biodiversity could also include a decline in genetic variability e.g. in eye colour of a particular species. It can also mean a decline in the number of a particular species or organism. Biodiversity loss has a big impact because it can directly impact the ecosystem where the decline has happened.
