Broker

A broker is the intermediary that sits between buyers and sellers in any transaction, taking a commission as compensation. In financial markets, they sit between investors and regulated stock exchanges, or between investors. If they act as go-betweens between institutional sell-side dealers, they are called inter-dealer brokers. Brokers do not act as principals in trades they broke but as agents.
