Cash flow

Cash flow is the amount of cash or cash equivalents that moves through a company. Cash flow could be receipts from business-as-usual operations, investments as well as debt and equity financing, or outflows such as payments to suppliers, lenders and creditors. A cash flow statement provides a snapshot of the sources and uses of cash classified as operating, investing and financing activities.
