Central Counterparty Clearing House (CCP)

A CCP facilitates trading in derivatives and securities markets. CCPs eliminate counterparty risk by acting as a central counterparty between parties. The CCP is the buyer to each seller and seller to each buyer. CCPs also deal with clearing, settlement, and margin.
