Custodian banks run administration and safeguarding services around their customers’ securities and other holdings (held in physical and electronic format). Services include clearing and settlement of transactions, dealing with and reconciling stock dividend and bond coupon payments, tax-related issues, supplying FX services, administering corporate actions and proxy voting, maintaining bank accounts, fund accounting and admin services, legal services, and securities lending.
