European Central Bank (ECB)

The European Central Bank is the central bank of the European Union countries that use the euro. As of March 2021, that was 19 countries. Its main task is to maintain price stability through an array of orthodox and unorthodox monetary policy tools – including asset-purchasing – with a target of keeping inflation below – but close to – 2%.
