Financial Market

A financial market is a regulated venue in which lenders/investors, borrowers and financial intermediaries negotiate and close financial transactions across the full range of financial instruments (cf.). Financial markets offer price-matching, execution, clearing and settlement services for equities, bonds, foreign exchange, commodities and derivatives instruments. As well as dealing with financial instruments, financial markets also encapsulate banking and insurance activities.
