Future Value (FV)

Determining future value helps investors and companies calculate investment returns and by extension make investment decisions. FV relies on the notion that money has time value i.e. that money held today is worth more than the same amount of money to be held tomorrow on an inflation-adjusted basis, and takes into account the impact of interest compounding on investments made.
