Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS)

The CFA Institute developed the Global Investment Performance Standards, which are widely accepted and used in the investment industry to achieve best practice for performance reporting and presentation. The GIPS are used by hundreds of organisations globally, including many of the largest asset managers. The consistent and transparent reporting to which the GIPS standards give rise, offering asset management clients to compare past performance of asset managers.
