Housing Bonds

In the US, housing bonds refer to a range of bond types issued by states, cities, towns, municipal authorities and certain types of real estate developers to fund affordable housing construction or improvement projects, or mortgages to qualified (typically low-earning homeowners. Housing bonds offer issuers a cost-effective method of funding such projects while simultaneously offering investors Federal and/or state tax benefits as incentives.
