Investment Strategy

An investment strategy, whether retail or institutional, is an investment plan that lays out goals, tactics, time horizon, eligible instruments and risk profile before investment decisions are made. This can be deciding, within an equity strategy for example, whether to focus on growth, value or income stocks, or whether to diversify geographically. Or deciding how much of the portfolio to invest in stock, bonds, commodities or alternatives.
