Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are the formal goals, targets or metrics that a company sets to meet strategic objectives around any number of different areas and which filter down through the organisation via internal communication channels, management action, reward and compensation targets, and employee goals. Most companies will have a relatively small set of KPIs and will endeavour to make them SMART (specific, measurable, achievable/attainable, relevant and time-bound.
