The macroeconomic environment refers to the broad factors and drivers pertaining to developments across a whole economy, be that a country economy, a regional economy or the global economy. The macroeconomic environment captures the factors influencing economic growth, the employment scenario, balance of trade, spending, inflation and interest rates, and the political and regulatory environment.
