Medium-Dated Bonds

Bonds are issued in short, medium and long-dated tenors. There is no hard and fast definition as to where the distinctions lie. Short-dated bonds have maturities of between one and three years. Medium-term or medium-dated bonds are typically in the five to 10-year bracket. Long-dated bonds have maturities above 10 years.
