A non-financial asset refers to tangible assets like land, buildings, plant, equipment and vehicles as well as intangibles such as copyrights, intellectual property, patents and goodwill. While non-financial assets can’t typically be traded like financial assets, they can be posted as collateral in secured debt facilities.
