Non-Operating Income
A company’s non-operating income is income generated from sources other than its core underlying operations, including, for example, income from securities and other investments (interest payments on debt; equity dividends, FX gains) or the sale of assets at a profit. Analysts will typically exclude non-operating income from calculating the performance of the underlying business.
