Photosynthesis

This is the process of plants using the power of the sun to combine carbon dioxide and water to form simple sugars, whilst releasing oxygen as a byproduct of the process. These sugars are the building blocks of life. Plants use them for plant growth. But plants also provide carbon to soils.
