Residual Emissions
Residual emissions are those greenhouse gas emissions that remain in the atmosphere for a long time emitted from their operations in the past, despite efforts taken by them to reduce emissions across its supply chain in the present and future. These can be seen as the “unavoidable emissions\'\' that persist even after implementation of a project with the best technologically and economically feasible solutions provided to the party by a Climate Professional as part of their Carbon Footprint Assessment.
