Startup

A startup is simply a recently incorporated company i.e. one that is in early stages of development. Startups are often seen as being run by entrepreneurs with disruptive mindsets, innovative products and solutions in development, and a rapid growth trajectory. Startups are initially funded by friends and family of the entrepreneur to get them off the ground, and subsequently by angel investors, seed investors, crowdfunding, government grant funding, venture capital companies and a wide range of other sources once proof of concept has been established.
