Trader

A trader, in the context of tradeable financial instruments (securities, currencies, commodities, derivatives etc) and tradeable assets, takes a position with a view to arbitraging price differentials. Trading can be conducted on a principal basis (i.e. traders have capital at risk) or on behalf of clients (acting through brokers).
