Yield Pickup

A yield pick-up typically refers to the difference in yield between one bond and another. If investors sell one bond and buy another for a higher yield, they will describe the difference as a yield pick-up. Similarly, comparing the yield on a corporate bond with that of a government bond will often be described as the former offering a pick-up over the latter.
