Foundational level

Why do we need contracts? Contracts are the legal foundation for commercial, corporate, banking and finance transactions, insurance, and the provision of goods and services. The laws surrounding contracts are quite complex and building and interpreting contracts can vary between jurisdictions. In this pathway, Arun Singh, former partner at KPMG Legal, will walk us through how to form a binding, and therefore enforceable, contract. We’ll look at the conditions required and outline how this can vary between countries. Arun will also discuss pre-contract documentation, and confidentiality agreements, as well as discussing some key terms for payment clauses.
