Summary

What are some simple ways to recharge?

  • To begin with, a little and frequently is usually far easier than attempting to take a 2-hour lunch break.
  • Instead of an hour, try arranging meetings for 50 or 55 minutes so that everyone has a few minutes to relax before the next event.

Alternatively, try feeling your feet on the floor and bum on the chair. Bring your hands onto the front of your body, one hand on chest and one on belly, whatever feels comfortable for you. Now, bring your awareness inwards, back and down. Allow your spine to soften, maybe relax back into your chair, let go of your jaw and tongue. You might close your eyes or allow your gaze to soften down in front of you. Take a couple of easy breaths. Coming inwards, back and down. Take your time here - notice how you feel. When you’re ready, slowly come back up to the centre.
