Investment Advisor

An investment advisor, a term more used in the US, is an individual, a company or an institution (that must be registered with financial regulators) that offers investment advice and analysis to clients for fees and/or commissions. Investment advisers are also known as independent financial advisors (IFAs) in the UK. Investment advice can range from advising on specific security selection to asset allocation strategies to market commentary and outlooks.
